CHAPTER VOLUNTEER POSITION DESCRIPTION

 

 

OUR MISSION        

·        To stop impaired driving and to support victims of this violent crime.

 

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

·        Help keep our communities and roadways safe.

·        Speak to a variety of community groups, companies and / or schools about the dangers of impaired driving (drinking and / or drugs).

·        Raise awareness about the dangers and consequences of impaired driving.

·        Distribute free promotional items (i.e., coupon books, calendars, pencils, magnets, red ribbons, stickers, etc…), literature and resource materials.

 

COMMITMENT                                                                                                                    

·        Variable.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: KEY TASKS / ACTIVITIES       

·        Speak to a variety of community groups, companies and / or schools about the dangers and consequences of impaired driving (as requested).

·        Share victim stories and experiences.

·        Distribute free promotional items, literature and resource materials.

·        Be knowledgeable about MADD Canada’s policies, programs and services.

·        Promote the Chapter positively within your community.

·        Promote volunteer opportunities within your Chapter.

ORIENTATION

·        You will receive an Orientation Guide and might be asked to attend an Orientation Session (from / by your local Chapter).

 

TRAINING

·        You will be supported and trained by a committee chair / committee member / board member and / or the Chapter Administrative Assistant.

 

OPPORTUNITES FOR

·        Students: College / University / High School (placement and / or 40 hours).

·        Victims of impaired driving.
