CHAPTER VOLUNTEER POSITION DESCRIPTION

 

 

OUR MISSION        

·        To stop impaired driving and to support victims of this violent crime.

 

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

·        Provide clerical support to the Chapter / Chapter board / Chapter Administrative Assistant.

 

COMMITMENT                                                                                                                    

·        During the day or evening and variable.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: KEY TASKS / ACTIVITIES       

·        Perform clerical tasks as required by the Chapter / Chapter board / Chapter Administrative Assistant.

·        Answer the telephone; take messages; direct calls as required.

·        Respond to email messages and to voice mail messages.

·        Greet visitors; answer questions and direct inquiries as required.

·        Send faxes.

·        Photocopy.

·        Assist with mailings; collate documents and stuff envelopes (could be done from home).

·        Place phone calls on behalf of the Chapter (could be done from home).

·        Assist with special projects as requested by the Chapter board and Administrative Assistant (i.e., create a community directory).

·        Be knowledgeable about MADD Canada’s policies, programs and services.

·        Promote the Chapter positively within your community.

·        Promote volunteer opportunities within your Chapter.

·        Experience working with Microsoft Office (word, excel, etc...) and Microsoft outlook and internet explorer.

·        Prior experience working and / or volunteering in an office environment (preferred, but not required).

 

ORIENTATION

·        You will receive an Orientation Guide and might be asked to attend an Orientation Session (from / by your local Chapter).

 

TRAINING

·        You will be supported and trained by the Chapter President and / or the Chapter Administrative Assistant.

 

OPPORTUNITES FOR
